I love thin crispy pizza. A little biased review but, if you're into thin crust it doesn't get much crispier than here. Def more of a preference kinda thing and the sauce isn't the most flavorful but I love that crunch. My go to: Sausage and jalapeños

I'm very glad I stumbled upon Union Pie @ Jammin Java, as I used to frequent South Block there. As a New Jersey native, it's nearly impossible to find good pizza in the DMV. Wise Guy is the go-to for a standard pizza, and now Union Pie is the go-to for a bar pie. They're super quick with it, so make sure you pickup within 5-10 minutes of them confirming your order so it stays fresh and crisp.

Our favorite music venue in the entire DMV is back with a new food enterprise and a very cool outdoor 'concert' area. JJ has always sported a simple menu (their Chili is a dynamo!) and the new concept follows that model. Salad, fries (simple or loaded) and a great selection of pies. The salad is a must... plenty of Italian veggies, complemented with a healthy array of salami and cheese strips. A nice way to start a night. We did a half and half pie, tomato and cheese and pepperoni. Thin crust and well baked it had a good combo of crunch and chew. The beer was cold and the specialty drinks priced right. Other places that bring the great music dont pay this much attention to the food, but they do here. At the end of the day though, it is the music, the community that turns out for it and the icing is the food. Check out one of their 'benefit concerts' while you can. They are terrific.

Stopped here the first time a few months ago. Thought the name Union Pie sounded familiar, and talking to my server found out why. The owner of Jamin Java / Union Pie also owns Union Stage, which I was a photojournalist for a show a year ago. The pizza is great. Love the thin crust, great sauce and cheese. The pepperoni is amazing. Thick cut, curls up when cooked and a nice spice to it. Why 4 stars. Wish they would expand the menu variety a bit. Would love to see crumbled sausage as an option, and maybe ham and bacon. Price and value. Good value for the quality of food. Also the staff there are great. I stopped there yesterday to get take out and pizza was as good as last time. I also love how you can get half a pizza or full pizza. You pay a bit extra for a half, to encourage you to get a full pizza. Do it.. It's worth it :-)

Tried the Gluten free pizza, was delicious and we all felt great after eating it. They were very busy, the staff were very friendly. We will definitely be going back.

Awesome pizza and antipasto salad! Gluten free crust is pretty amazing - never calling Domino's for GF pizza again! Try the hot & sweet, along with a Zoom cocktail to go (pour over ice with a splash of club soda when you get home). Definitely coming back!

The pizzas are fresh and delicious! I love them all but the hot and sweet is my favorite!!! You don't want to miss this place that is owned and operated by a lovely local family.

I've loved union pie at the wharf so I knew this was going to be just as good! I was so excited to see they added new items to the menu. I ordered the white pizza with loaded fries and a salad to share with my fiancé. The salad was great! The salami is expertly cut so you get the best bite each time. The loaded fries are a must! The cheese sauce is so good. You have to ask for extra because it's that good. Oh and I also ordered a to go cocktail. The spring is cancelled is so yummy. I'm excited to go back and try the wines they are selling to go. I think I read they have Italian wine trios which would be fun for a Friday night.

Longtime fan of the Union Pie at the Wharf so was really excited to see they opened up a location in Virginia! The crust is very thin and crispy and the pepperoni is bursting with flavor. The portioning is a bit smaller than normal. I ordered the first week they opened so I will definitely try again once they work out their kinks!
